The Ford Model T (also called Tin Lizzie) was the most bought car until 1972. After 1972 it was the Volkswagen Käfer (Beetle). From 1908 to 1927 15 (!) million cars were built. But unfortunately only 1% are still excisting.
The Model T was the first car the was built with an assembly-line production. From 1915 to 1925 it was painted only in Japan Black because this paint did dry faster than the others and because if you have only one paint you need only one spray-paint line.
The car was easy to operate and to fix. It was powered by a four-cylinder in-line engine (2.9l), with 20hp and a topspeed of around 70km/h (45mph).
